The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is hiring an Automotive Technician in Buffalo, NY, offering competitive pay and comprehensive benefits. This full-time, flat-rate position includes a 75% hour guarantee and opportunities for career growth.

You'll inspect, diagnose, and repair automotive systems such as brakes, suspension, engine performance, and HVAC, using the latest diagnostic tools while maintaining safety and high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• At least three years of automotive repair experience or three years in military vehicle maintenance.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work a flexible schedule incl. evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• ASE A4/A5 certifications, state inspection license, or MAC certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair automotive systems including brakes, suspension, engine performance, air conditioning, and coolant systems.
• Troubleshoot problems using the latest technology and diagnostics.
• Mentor teammates and continually learn new techniques as automotive technology evolves.
• Maintain high standards of safety, service, and housekeeping while using protective equipment.
• Perform manual tasks such as lifting tires/wheels and standing, bending, and squatting for extended periods.

The pay range for this position is $ 28.00 - $40.00 /hr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on factors such-as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. What You'll Do

• Troubleshoot problems and demonstrate strong diagnostic skills using the latest technology

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of three years' automotive repair experience—OR three years as a military vehicle maintenance specialist—demonstrating advanced diagnostic and problem-solving skills, including identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving complex mechanical and electrical faults.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Preferred: ASE A4 (Steering & Suspension) and A5 (Brakes) Certifications, state inspection license, or MAC certification.
