Job summary

Midas Auto Experts in Atlantic City, NJ is seeking an Intermediate Level Technician (B Tech) to perform inspections, diagnostics and repairs in a full-service shop.

The ideal candidate can work independently while collaborating with peers, demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude, reads service manuals and repair guides, and commits to thorough maintenance, safety checks and quality workmanship. ASE certification is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• ASE certification is preferred but not required.
• Must have basic automotive knowledge and the ability to read service manuals.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform a thorough visual safety and courtesy inspection.
• Performs tests on specific parts and systems to determine whether they are operating properly.
• Mounting, balancing and rotating tires
• Replacing batteries
• Changing bulbs, belts and hoses
• Repairs or replaces malfunctioning parts and systems such as but not limited to brake pads, belts, tires and water pumps.
• Performs routine and preventative maintenance including oil changes and tune-ups.
• Ability to work on more complex jobs with some assistance such as diagnostics.
• Test drive vehicles to confirm that repairs have been made properly.
• Maintaining and cleaning shop areas
• Willingness to learn and grow as a technician
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

We are looking for an Intermediate Level Technician (B Tech) that are able to work independently of others, while also being able to work collaboratively at times with peers. We have a full-service facility, and we are looking for automotive technicians to help us create an environment of success!
