Huntington Volvo – VIP Automotive Group is seeking Automotive Technicians of all levels for a full-time position in Huntington, NY. Earn $18–$45+ per hour with 45+ hours available weekly, plus production bonuses and union benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience as Automotive Technician, Auto Mechanic, or Service Technician; dealership exp preferred but not required.
• ASE certifications are a plus
• ASE certification assistance available
• Volvo or European automotive experience preferred
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
• Ability to diagnose and repair automotive systems
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced service environment
• Professional attitude and strong work ethic
• Valid driver's license required

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair automotive mechanical and electrical systems
• Perform routine and preventative vehicle maintenance
• Brake repairs, tire services, oil changes, inspections, and general repairs
• Diagnose drivability and performance concerns
• Use automotive diagnostic equipment and scan tools
• Perform electrical and computer-related diagnostics
• Complete manufacturer-recommended repairs and maintenance
• Perform software updates and key programming
• Inspect vehicles and identify necessary repairs
• Accurately document repairs and complete repair orders
• Communicate with Service Advisors regarding vehicle concerns and repairs
• Work with Parts Department to obtain necessary parts
• Follow manufacturer and dealership repair procedures
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized service bay
• Maintain professional standards for quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction
• Assist with training and mentoring less-experienced technicians when appropriate

AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN RESPONSIBILITIES
