Job summary

Bridgestone Americas in Hackensack, NJ, is seeking an Automotive Technician to learn and perform diagnostic, repair and maintenance tasks under experienced technicians. You’ll assist with inspections, customer explanations, and ensuring high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced shop environment.

Pay ranges from $21.00 to $31.56 per hour with flat-rate pay reflecting regional productivity; ongoing training, ASE certifications, and a supportive benefits program are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks.
• Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Basic understanding of general automotive maintenance & tire repair services including: Oil changes, Basic inspections, Repairing tires.

Responsibilities

• Change oil and perform scheduled maintenance.
• Inspect steering, suspension, and brake systems.
• Install batteries and check electrical systems.
• Perform tire maintenance.
• Install parts.
• Road test vehicles.
• Pursue ASE certifications within two years.
