Job summary

The Automotive Technician position at Bridgestone Retail Operations in Nashville, TN offers hands-on learning in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles under experienced technicians. You’ll perform routine maintenance, inspections, tire services, and customer-facing explanations while pursuing ASE certifications.

We provide on‑the‑job training, a performance-based pay structure (flat-rate), and benefits starting day one.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to learn basic mechanical tasks.
  • Valid automobile driver's license at all times; ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
  • Basic understanding of automotive maintenance & tire repair services including oil changes, basic inspections, repairing tires, reading, writing, and math skills.

Responsibilities

  • Change oil and perform other scheduled maintenance services.
  • Inspect steering, suspension, and brake systems.
  • Install batteries and check electrical systems.
  • Perform tire maintenance.
  • Install parts.
  • Road test vehicles.
  • Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least one of A1–A8 within first two years of employment; tests and fees paid by company; bonus for each test passed.
