Job summary

Hendrick BMW Northlake in Charlotte, NC seeks an Apprentice Technician to assist the Service Technician with identifying necessary vehicle service and performing repair, service, and maintenance work. This is an entry-level position aimed at increasing knowledge, skills, and certifications to progress to a Service Technician.

You will learn to follow dealership guidelines, document services, request parts, and maintain a safe, organized work area while gaining hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Basic knowledge of automotive parts and systems. Demonstrable mechanical skills and knowledge.
• Technical training or commensurate technical experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Service Technician with examining customer vehicles.
• Assist Service Technician with identifying necessary vehicle repairs and maintenance.
• Assist with estimating cost of repairs.
• Assist with performing vehicle repairs and maintenance.
• Documents services performed.
• Follows dealership and manufacturer service guidelines.
• Assists Service Technician by requesting necessary parts.
• Maintains CSI at or above Company standards.
• Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area.
• Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system.
