Job summary

Frankies Auto Sales in Dyer, IN is hiring automotive technicians and pre-owned mechanics of all levels. Join a growing service department and be part of a team that values quality work and customer service.

Applicants should be able to work Saturdays and document all repairs accurately while ensuring vehicles are returned clean and ready for pickup. A certification from an accredited program and a valid driver’s license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work Saturdays.
• Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and service procedures.
• Knowledge of dealership service operations is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Certification from an accredited automotive technology program is preferred; Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Make accurate use of the multi-point inspection form on each vehicle.
• Document all work performed and recommended on assigned repair order.
• Communicate with service advisor when additional work is needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
• Conduct road test to determine work needed and to confirm work was successfully completed when necessary and practical.
• Perform all levels of diagnosis and repair on vehicles.
• Performs routine service i.e. lube chassis, replace brakes, suspension, electrical, check and top off all fluid levels, change oil and filter, reset oil life monitor system, inspect filters, rotate tires, set tire pressures, and relearn tpms sensors as needed.
• Take care to ensure that customer’s vehicles are returned to them as clean as they were prior to being serviced
