Position Summary

A Technician is primarily responsible for diagnosing drivability and electrical systems using their experience and technical expertise. A successful Technician will utilize leadership and mentoring skills to guide a team, enhancing customer care and satisfaction. The Technician will interact directly with customers, providing education on vehicle problems and proposed solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair systems including brake and hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems.
• Perform duties of lower-level technicians (Technician B, Mechanic, General Service Technician).
• Explain technical diagnoses and repairs to customers and staff as needed.
• Continuously update technical knowledge through training.
• Assist fellow technicians in technical tasks.
• Report repair issues to management.
• Maintain an organized shop environment.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and company policies.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

We expect leadership qualities, teamwork, and a customer-focused attitude. Candidates should meet the following:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3+ years of automotive diagnosis and repair experience
• 4+ ASE certifications preferred (A4, A5, plus two from A1, A6, A7, A8, L1)
• Section 609 certification required
• State Inspection license if applicable
• Motivated, energetic, and customer-oriented
• Valid driver’s license
• Successful background check
• Availability for varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
