Job summary
ASAP Automotive & Transmission in Bear, DE is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to work in a 6-bay independent shop, handling steering, suspension, brakes, maintenance, and routine repairs with minimal supervision.
You’ll earn $32–$35 per hour plus a production bonus, with weekly pay and a Monday–Friday schedule that includes no weekends. Benefits include medical insurance after 6 months, a SIMPLE IRA, life insurance, disability coverage, PTO, and paid training.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional automotive repair experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical skills with the ability to complete repairs independently.
- Experience with steering, suspension, brakes, maintenance, and general automotive repair.
- Basic to intermediate automotive electrical diagnostic ability; produce quality work while maintaining productivity.
- ASE Certifications are a plus.
- Digital Vehicle Inspection (DVI) experience preferred.

Since 1988, the shop has focused on honest service, quality repairs, and long-term customer relationships. You'll handle a variety of general automotive repairs while using equipment including Hunter Alignment, Snap-on Solus and Verus scan tools, and AutoLeap Digital Vehicle Inspections.
