Job summary

North Central Ford in Richardson, TX, part of Sonic Automotive, is seeking an Automotive Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance per dealer and factory standards. The Service Technician will oversee apprentices and ensure high CSI.

We offer an hourly pay range of $30-$55 per hour, with a tenure bonus program up to $3.50 per flat rate hour. Preferred Ford-brand experience and ASE or factory training are a plus. High standards for safety and quality are expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in automotive technician role or equivalent.
• Warranty and customer pay work experience preferred.
• Able to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Ford brand experience preferred.
• ASE or manufacturing training is a plus.
• Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Authorized to work in the USA and able to pass background/MVR/drug tests.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and maintenance per dealer and factory standards.
• Diagnose and repair problems and communicate with parts department.
• Oversee the work of any apprentice technician.
• Attend factory-sponsored training and stay current with technical bulletins.
• Maintain showroom/ shop cleanliness and safety compliance.
