Job summary

Asbury Automotive Group is seeking a Technician at our White Marsh, MD location to perform preventive maintenance and light repairs with minimal supervision. You bring prior automotive experience as a 'D' level tech and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities include inspections, brake/ suspension work, tire and TPMS, and adhering to safety and factory standards. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Prior D-level tech experience preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment screening (background and drug test).
• Must provide basic tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance.
• Perform basic suspension and steering diagnosis and repair, brakes, alignments, TPMS, and batteries as certified.
• Document all work performed on repair orders and communicate findings.
• Stay current with factory bulletins, campaigns, updates and recalls.
• Collaborate with senior technicians and management for complex tasks.
• Adhere to safety and regulatory standards in the service bay.

The "C" Level Technician is responsible for completing preventive maintenance and light line repairs independently with no technical supervision. This individual may also assist senior/master technicians with complex repairs.

• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance
• Perform basic suspension and steering diagnosis and repair, basic brake diagnosis and repair, alignments, tire repair, fluid maintenance exchange, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) repairs /replacement battery check and installation, manufacture recalls if certification level required is obtained
• Makes accurate use of the multi-pointinspection form on each vehicle
• Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory instructions and standards
• Stay up to date by reading and understanding factory bulletins, covering campaigns, updates and recalls
• Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order
• Examine assigned vehicles to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended
• Understands and completes required training for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
• Utilize product and technical training as assigned by the manufacturer and management
• Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs and schools
• Continuously expand your knowledge of new technology to gain additional practice
• Automotive technical school certifications preferred but not required
• Previous automotive experience as a "D" level tech required
• Must have good prior work or school attendance
• Must have a positive attitude and be a team player
• Must be at least eighteen years of ageMust have a valid driver’s license

• Must pass pre-employment screening (background and drug test)
