Job summary

Waterloo Automotive is seeking a Production Technician/Automotive Technician to join our Waterloo, IL shop. You will perform repair and maintenance across various vehicle systems, document digital inspections, and follow SOPs to keep vehicles moving efficiently.

Expect to own the necessary tools, maintain accuracy, and communicate clearly with advisors. A 3–5 year track record and ASE or manufacturer certifications are preferred. Monday–Friday schedule, and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Perform repair and maintenance work accurately across a wide range of vehicle systems.
• Complete digital vehicle inspections and document findings clearly and consistently.
• Follow shop SOPs, safety guidelines, and repair procedures on every job.
• Communicate job status and repair needs with advisors and shop leadership; maintain a clean, organized workspace and support overall shop flow.
• Have some existing automotive repair certifications (ASE or manufacturer).
• Own necessary tools / equipment to perform automotive repairs / maintenance.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience performing automotive diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance.

The Technician Role

We're looking for a Technician who takes pride in consistent, accurate repair work and understands the importance of following shop processes.
