Job summary

Neighbors Ford of Thief River Falls is seeking an automotive technician to diagnose complex issues and perform high-quality repairs in a collaborative shop. You will conduct thorough inspections, manage routine maintenance, and keep customers informed about vehicle status.

You’ll work with modern equipment, receive ongoing training, and contribute to a safe, organized work environment in a community-focused Ford dealership in Minnesota.

Qualifications

  • Automotive service excellence or vocational degree in diesel/automotive technology.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Proficiency with modern vehicle diagnostic tools and repair software.
  • Basic set of hand tools to perform standard mechanical repairs.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • ASE certifications are valued but not strictly required to start.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose complex mechanical issues and implement effective, high-quality repair solutions.
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to ensure safety and performance standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake repairs, and tire rotations.
  • Maintain clear communication with service advisors regarding status and needs of client vehicles.
  • Keep workspace clean, organized, and safe for everyone on the shop floor.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay updated on latest vehicle tech and repair techniques.
