Job summary

Toyota San Luis Obispo is looking for experienced Technicians to join our Service Department who will engage in diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of vehicles. The position offers excellent income potential and career growth at the largest Toyota Dealership in San Luis Obispo County.

We have an extremely busy shop with our growing service department. We are looking for hard working, highly motivated technicians to join our winning organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of automotive repair and maintenance experience.
• ASE Certification is preferred.
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Strong mechanical and technical skills with knowledge of automotive systems.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment.
• Excellent communication with team members and customers.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles including oil changes, brake replacements, and tire rotations.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers to explain repairs and options.
• Maintain records of all service and repair work, including digital documentation.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Stay updated on automotive technologies through ongoing training.

Skills

2+ years automotive repair experience

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• ASE Certification (Preferred)
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment for vehicle repairs.
• Strong mechanical and technical skills with a comprehensive understanding of automotive systems.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and customers effectively.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Positive attitude and high energy with willingness to go above and beyond.
