Job summary

Midas Alaska is seeking automotive technicians to join a full-service facility focused on inspections, diagnostics and repairs. You’ll work independently at times and collaboratively with peers to ensure top-quality service for both foreign and domestic vehicles.

Ideal candidates have ASE-related experience, a high school diploma, relevant certifications and own tools. We value productivity, safety and adherence to environmental standards in a dynamic shop environment.

Qualifications

• Able to repair vehicles independently, while also working well in a team environment.
• Knowledge of automotive brakes, exhaust, suspension and engine diagnostics.
• Track record of high personal productivity.
• Adherence to safety and environmental standards for repair facilities.
• Experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines and scan tools.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree a definite plus.
• State-specific auto repair certifications.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Own tools/equipment; diagnostic scanner/tools preferred.
• Able to service both foreign and domestic vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics, repairs and maintenance across a wide range of vehicle systems.
• Diagnostics and repair of heating and air conditioning.
• Steering and suspension inspections and repairs.
• Belts and hoses inspection and replacement as needed.
• Radiator and cooling system servicing.
• Batteries, starting and charging system work.
• Brakes and brake repair including safety checks.
• Check Engine Light diagnostics and servicing.
• Visual safety and courtesy inspections on vehicles.

We are looking for automotive technicians/mechanics that are able to work independently of others, while also being able to work collaboratively at times with peers. We have a full-service facility and we are looking for automotive technicians to help us create an environment of success!
