Job summary

AAMCO Transmissions, Inc. is seeking an Automotive Technician to diagnose and service a broad range of vehicle repair issues, ensuring proper performance and safety.

You will inspect, diagnose, and repair automotive systems including brakes, electrical, and HVAC, explain findings to customers, document inspections, and support teammates in a fast paced, safety oriented shop. This role offers daytime hours, a competitive hourly pay rate of 35-37 USD, and access to training programs to stay

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience as an automotive technician in a professional setting.
• A clean, valid California driver’s license.
• Vocational or technical school training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair automotive systems including brakes, electrical, HVAC, and suspension.
• Explain diagnosis discovered during inspection to non-mechanical individuals.
• Record inspection findings so that costs are accurately estimated.
• Assist other technicians in performing technical activities.
• Continuously learn new technical information, equipment, tools, and repair techniques through paid formal training.
• Maintains a clean and organized repair facility.

Job Description: Automotive Technician

Summary

This position is primarily responsible to diagnose and service a broad range of vehicle repair issues ensuring proper performance and safety.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair automotive systems including, but not limited to, brakes and hydraulic, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension, HVAC, and computer systems
• Adequately explain diagnosis discovered during inspection to non-mechanical individuals
• Record inspection findings so that costs are accurately estimated
• Assist other technicians in performing technical activities
• Continuously learn new technical information, equipment, tools, and repair techniques through paid formal training
• Maintains a clean and organized repair facility
• Performs other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

• 3+ years’ experience as an automotive technician in a professional setting
