Job summary

Jiffy Lube International, Inc. in Palm Desert, CA seeks an Automotive Technician to service customers’ vehicles, focusing on brakes, engine performance, steering, electrical and HVAC systems.

You will work in a fast-paced service center with comprehensive training and opportunities for certification. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of automotive experience, 1–2 years on brake systems, and ASE A5 brakes certification; a related tech school degree is a plus and HS diploma is required.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years automotive experience.
• 1-2 years brake systems experience.
• ASE A5 brakes certification; ASE Engine Performance, Suspension & Steering, Electrical Systems, Heating & Air Conditioning preferred.
• Automotive tech school degree a plus; high school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete disc or drum brake service and related components.
• Use repair manuals and computer systems to estimate parts and labor.
• Road-test vehicles before and after service to verify quality.

Join us and become an essential part of delivering exceptional service to our guests.**HOW YOU WILL DRIVE SUCCESS:*** Promote teamwork to deliver on time and accurate guest care during all operating hours* Demonstrate excellent guest service, which includes providing clear communication and feedback about guest vehicles* Ensure that the service center, specifically their workstation, is clean and presentable* Must be able to perform complete disc or drum brake service including, but not limited to replacing all braking components as well as performing full brake flushes* Must be knowledgeable and understand the whole mechanics of the braking system, including the servicing process and must be able to answer questions from the customer* Must be able to diagnose and pinpoint issues in the braking system* Must be able to diagnose the following vital components and potentially make all necessary repairs such as Engine Performance, Suspension/Steering, Electrical, Heating AC, etc.* Ability to use our current computer system to provide estimates for parts and labor.
