Job description

At Midas, we are dedicated to providing quality services to customer vehicles in the areas of inspection, diagnosis, and repair utilizing the expertise attained through ASE Certifications and/or years of automotive repair experience.

We are looking for automotive technicians/mechanics who can work independently, while also being able to collaborate with peers. We have a full-service facility and are seeking automotive technicians to help us create an environment of success!

Responsibilities

As a Midas automotive technician, you’ll be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance, including:

1. Diagnostics using state-of-the-art computer systems
2. Tires and tire repair
3. Car heating and air conditioning
4. Steering and suspension
5. Belts and hoses
6. Radiator and engine cooling systems
7. Batteries, starting, and charging
8. Brakes and brake repair
9. Oil changes
10. Check engine light
11. Mufflers and exhaust services
12. Visual safety and courtesy inspections

Qualifications

1. Ability to repair vehicles independently, while also having experience working well in a team environment
2. Knowledge in automotive brakes, exhaust, suspension, & engine diagnostics
3. Track record of high personal productivity
4. Knowledge of, and adherence to, safety and environmental standards for repair facilities
5. Experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines, and scan tools
6. High School Diploma or equivalent - technical degree a definite plus
7. State-specific auto repair certifications
8. Valid driver’s license
9. Own tools/equipment (diagnostic scanner/tools preferred)
10. Able to service both foreign and domestic vehicles
