Job summary

Toscalito Tire & Automotive in the San Francisco area is seeking a Junior Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair customer vehicles while adhering to MAP guidelines and Toscalito standards.

The position offers compensation up to $70K–$85K annually, with benefits including tuition reimbursement, paid vacation and holidays, health/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
• Prefer a minimum of one unexpired ASE certification or equivalent training.
• Ability to work five days per week, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose vehicles per certifications or experience level.
• Perform work outlined on inspection/repair orders with accuracy.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to customers or managers.
• Recommend services to keep vehicles running, document in file.
• Follow safety procedures and report concerns to supervisor.
• Maintain ASE certifications and renewals.

The Junior Automotive Technician is responsible for effectively and efficiently diagnosing and repairing customer vehicles while adhering to the MAP guidelines and in accordance with dealership, manufacturers, and Toscalito standards.

Compensation: up to $70K - $85K ANNUALLY, varies upon experience (Hrly + Flag)

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Diagnoses vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience.
• Performs work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Explains technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include the Store Manager, Service Consultants, and/or customers.
• Recommends services that are necessary to keep the customer’s vehicle in running condition; properly documents all recommendations in the customer file.
• Follows all safety procedures and reports any concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
• Maintains appropriate ASE certifications and renewals of expiring certifications.
