DAVIS AND LAWSON VENTURES LLC DBA CHARLESTON AUTO REPAIR is seeking an Automotive Technician to join our independent Napa Auto Care shop. You will diagnose and repair vehicles, operate the shop's computer software, and perform extensive system inspections.

If you have a “never give up” attitude and like problem-solving for customers, we want to hear from you. The role emphasizes high-quality workmanship, customer satisfaction, and contributing to service center procedures for tracking repairs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or automotive service training preferred.
• ASE or SAE certification preferred.
• Strong customer service and communications skills required.

Responsibilities

• Use diagnostic tools to evaluate vehicle malfunction codes.
• Assist with service center procedures for tracking repair status and documentation.
• Perform routine maintenance: tire rotations, oil changes, brake pad replacements.
• Conduct comprehensive inspections of engine, transmission, brakes and other systems.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
• Explain repair information clearly to customers.

Job Summary

We are looking for an Automotive Technician to join our successful independent Napa Auto Care shop.

As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles. You must be comfortable using the shops computer software and have extensive knowledge of vehicle systems.

Responsibilities

• Use your expertise and diagnostic tools to evaluate vehicle malfunction codes
• Assist with establishing service center procedures for tracking repair status, maintaining technical documentation, and other necessary protocols
• Carry out routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire rotations, oil changes, and brake pad replacements
• Conduct in-depth vehicle inspections of all systems, including engine, transmission, and brakes
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business
• Convey necessary vehicle repair information to customers in a clear and concise manner

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required
• An associate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program is preferred
• Automotive Service Excellence/ASE certification or Society of Automotive Engineers/SAE certification is preferred
• Strong customer service and communications skills are required
