Role Description

This full-time, on-site Automotive Technician role is based at Highway Auto Center in Chagrin Falls, OH. The Automotive Technician performs routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotations, brake inspections, and filter replacements. Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical issues, completing general automotive repairs, inspecting suspension and steering components, and assisting with preventative maintenance to ensure vehicle reliability and safety. The role involves accurately documenting work performed, communicating repair recommendations, following safety and quality standards, and collaborating with service advisors and other technicians to provide efficient, customer-focused service. The Automotive Technician may also support collision-related mechanical work and help maintain a clean, organized, and compliant workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in general Vehicle Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair, with the ability to perform inspections and routine service.
• Hands-on experience with Automotive Repair tasks, including diagnostics and component replacement.
• Proficiency in performing Oil Changes and related fluid services according to manufacturer specifications.
• Knowledge of Suspension systems, including inspection, repair, and basic alignment-related work.
• Relevant technical training or certification in automotive technology; ASE certifications are highly beneficial.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools, service manuals, and shop equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality workmanship, and adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced shop environment.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
