Job summary

AAA Mountain West Group is seeking an Automotive Technician in Mesa, AZ. You will perform oil changes, lubrication, tire repairs and installations for member and nonmember vehicles, and assist upper level technicians as needed. You will test drive for performance concerns and ensure safety and quality in every repair.

We emphasize safety, accuracy, and ongoing training, with annual continuing education and a commitment to high standards, equipment maintenance, and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Six months experience in general repair, lube services and/or tire shop.

Responsibilities

• Performs oil changes and lubrication service for member and nonmember vehicles.
• Performs tire repairs and installation service for member and nonmember vehicles.
• Performs other minor repairs as assigned by Lead Tech or Service Advisor, according to their abilities.
• Assist upper level technicians as needed and for experience.
• Test drives vehicles when practical for any/all performance or drivability concerns before performing work.
• Retest drives after repairs completed to verify that repair solved defined problems.
• Maintains clean and safe work environment; cleans spills and debris.
• Follows Company and industry safety rules and regulations.
• Attends all required training and keeps up to date on industry trends.
