Job summary

University Tire is seeking an Automotive General Service Technician to perform essential maintenance such as tire mounting, rotation, oil changes, and fluid services. You will work with precision and efficiency to support shop operations and ensure customer safety.

This role emphasizes teamwork, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and willingness to learn. Prior automotive maintenance experience is preferred but not required, and a valid driver’s license is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of automotive systems and diagnostics.
• Experience in automotive maintenance or repair preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Mount, balance, and install tires with precision and care.
• Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, fluid flushes and replacements, belt and hose replacements, battery testing and installation, and general automotive repairs.
• Conduct thorough visual inspections of vehicles and accurately document any findings.
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of shop equipment, including servicing portable fluid drains according to shop protocols.
• Actively expands automotive knowledge and technical skills to support long-term career development.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support shop operations and team success.
