Job summary

Billion Auto of Clinton is hiring a full-time Service Technician in Clinton, IA. Day shift with a competitive benefits package and a sign-on bonus up to $5,000. All skill levels are encouraged to apply and ASE certification is a plus.

As a technician, you will diagnose and repair vehicles, order parts, and communicate with the service team to ensure timely, high-quality work. Join a family-owned, multi-state organization with strong emphasis on customer satisfaction and employee growth.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing and diagnosing vehicles.
• ASE certification an asset.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Have the tools necessary to perform automotive repairs.
• Maintain a positive, proactive attitude and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Perform work per repair order with efficiency and accuracy to dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Coordinate with parts department to obtain necessary parts.
• Inspect vehicles to determine required safety or service work.
• Communicate with service advisor if additional work is needed or timelines change.
• Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• Report machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
• Keep customers' cars clean and inform of any changes.
• Other tasks as assigned.
