Job summary

Philpott Ford in Nederland, TX, part of Sonic Automotive, seeks an Automotive Service Technician to perform vehicle repairs and maintenance per dealer and factory standards.

Responsibilities

Utilize diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical, electrical, and other vehicle issues.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and other automotive systems.
Work efficiently to diagnose malfunctions and complete repairs within established timeframes.
Collaborate with service advisors and parts department to prioritize and schedule repairs.
Conduct thorough quality inspections to ensure all repairs meet industry standards.
Address issues with Service Advisor (parts, time promised, etc).
Communicate with customers to understand vehicle issues and explain repairs.
Provide accurate cost estimates and timelines for repairs.
Document all diagnostic and repair activities accurately.
Complete repair orders and maintain detailed service records.
Attend factory-sponsored training classes to stay informed about latest automotive technologies.
Attend training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

$25.00 - $58.00 / hour
- Depending on experience, certifications, and qualifications
Year-End Bonus:
- Program thatpays up to $3.50 per flat rate hour turned over the year

Summary:
