Job summary

Kia of East Hartford is seeking an Automotive Service Technician/Mechanic to diagnose and repair vehicles in a fast-paced, customer‑focused shop. You will contribute to accurate diagnostics, quality repairs, and a great customer experience while growing with a team that values your expertise.

We offer an aggressive pay plan (Express Techs $23/hour, Flat Rate Techs $28+/hour), with benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k), and paid factory training.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as automotive technician or mechanic.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repair processes.
• Excellent problem solving and attention to detail.
• ASE certification or equivalent is a plus.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and be a current resident.
• Pre-employment background checks required, including MVR and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicle issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with team members to provide top notch service.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on vehicles.
• Keep accurate records of repairs and services for each vehicle.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements.
• Follow dealership, manufacturer, and safety standards.
