Job summary

Sun Devil Auto in Phoenix is seeking a General Service Technician to perform basic automotive services including oil changes, tire mounting, balancing and rotations, and to document vehicle conditions.

You will also drive customers, pick up parts, and maintain a clean shop environment while following safety procedures. The role offers tuition reimbursement, paid time off, holidays, and comprehensive benefits including insurance and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Possess current, valid driver’s license.
• Possess current or expired State Inspector License or ability to obtain a State Inspector License within 30 days of hire date.
• Possesses a general understanding of under the hood, mechanical and under carriage assemblies.
• Ability to work Monday - Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes and other basic services at the direction of the Shop Manager or Store Manager.
• Observes vehicle condition and documents needed repairs or safety concerns using Multi-point Inspection/Repair Order.
• Maintains cleanliness of the shop, service area, tire racks, showroom and exterior.
• Safely transports customers using the company vehicle.
• Picks up parts, tires, and supplies from vendors or the corporate office using the company vehicle.
• Operates company vehicle safely and follows traffic laws.
• Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections following guidelines.
• Follows all safety procedures and reports concerns.
