Job summary

Sheehy Auto Stores in Chantilly, VA is seeking skilled Service Technicians to diagnose and repair client and dealership vehicles while maintaining strong relationships with customers. You'll work with a team of experienced professionals in a fast-paced, ethical shop that values integrity and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities include examining vehicles, discussing repairs, providing labor estimates, and keeping accurate service records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One-three years of related experience and training.
• Authorized to work in the USA.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background checks, MVR, and drug screen.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Examine and diagnose vehicles.
• Discuss repairs with the shop foreman or service advisor.
• Communicate additional service requests to a service advisor.
• Plan work procedures with the shop foreman.
• Provide labor time estimates to a service advisor.
• Monitor repair time and update the service advisor regularly.
• Maintain adherence to dealership policies on vehicle care and operation.
• Complete story and documentation for client repairs.
• Assist in mentoring technician trainees.
• Attend company and factory training.
• Keep current with factory technical bulletins.
• Follow federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., disposal of hazardous waste).
• Keep the vehicle you are working on clean and free of grease and oil.
• Apply proper use of PPE and adhere to safety standards in the shop.
