Job summary

Telle Tire & Auto Service Inc in Lenexa, KS is seeking a General Service Technician to help with maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs in a fast-paced automotive shop. You will work on tire services, oil changes, inspections, parts handling, and general shop support to ensure quality service.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma, basic mechanical skills, and a willingness to learn. A valid driver’s license is required; ASE certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six (6) months of relevant automotive experience preferred but not required.
• Missouri State Vehicle Inspector’s License, ASE Certifications, and Valid Driver’s License preferred.
• Basic mechanical and maintenance skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform express services such as tire installation and balancing, oil and fluid changes, battery installation, and wiper/headlight replacement.
• Complete Missouri State Vehicle Inspections and warranty checks.
• Conduct digital vehicle inspections, documenting notes and photos for service records.
• Transport customer vehicles to and from sublet shops and shuttle customers as needed.
• Pick up and deliver parts from local warehouses and vendors.
• Maintain proper inventory levels, organize stockrooms, and report supply needs.
• Assist other technicians with repair tasks and diagnostics.
• Keep workstations and shared shop areas clean and organized.
• Attend team meetings and participate in on-the-job and formal training sessions.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards and company policies.
• Produce accurate, legible documentation of services performed.
