Job summary

Heartautocare in Northbrook, IL is seeking a Full Time General Service Technician to support maintenance, inspection, and minor repair of vehicles in a fast-paced automotive shop. You will assist with tire services, oil changes, and vehicle inspections while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Ideal candidates may have 6 months of automotive experience or be entry-level, with a HS diploma and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Entry-level; 6 months of automotive experience preferred but not required.
Valid driver’s license required.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

Perform express services such as tire installation and balancing, oil changes, battery installation, and wiper replacement.
Complete vehicle inspections and warranty checks.
Document notes and photos for digital vehicle inspections.
Transport vehicles to sublet shops and shuttle customers as needed.
Pick up and deliver parts from local warehouses and vendors.
Maintain inventory levels and organize stockrooms.
Assist other technicians with repair tasks and diagnostics.
Keep workstations and shop areas clean and organized; follow safety standards.
Attend team meetings and participate in training sessions.
