Job summary

Howdy Honda of Austin is hiring immediately for an Experienced Automotive Technician (A & B level). This full-time role pays $30–$45+ per flat-rate hour, depending on experience, certifications, and productivity.

Open availability is required to support dealership operations. You will diagnose and repair engines, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, and drivability, perform maintenance per manufacturer procedures, document findings clearly, and road-test as needed.

Qualifications

• Automotive repair experience with advanced diagnostic skills.
• 1+ years of experience using diagnostic equipment and manufacturer repair procedures.
• Knowledge of engine, electrical, suspension, steering, brake, and drivability systems.
• Strong documentation and repair order accuracy.
• Current automotive technical training or certifications.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair engines, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, and drivability.
• Diagnose vehicle concerns and identify mechanical and electrical issues.
• Complete maintenance and repairs according to repair orders and manufacturer procedures.
• Record repairs, test results, and recommended services clearly.
• Road-test vehicles as needed to verify concerns and repair quality.
• Maintain current technical training, factory procedures, and safety standards.
• Partner with Service Advisors and Parts teams to support an efficient service experience.
