Job summary

carolina customs is seeking an experienced automotive technician to perform maintenance, repairs, and inspections on a variety of vehicles. You will interpret repair orders, diagnose mechanical issues, and work with customers to explain necessary fixes.

The role requires clean, safe work habits and ongoing participation in training. You will drive performance in a fast-paced shop, use diagnostic tools, and input all findings into MPI while maintaining up-to-date repair orders.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of mechanical experience.
• Excellent communication and service skills.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions.
• Proven knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders in line with dealership standards.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, brakes, and HVAC.
• Execute multi-point inspections and test-drive vehicles.
• Explain diagnoses and repairs in non-technical terms to service advisors and customers, estimating time for additional work.
• Input all vehicle recommendations and repair details in MPI; keep orders updated.
• Find pricing and availability of required parts in MPI notes.
• Maintain clean vehicles and work area; report safety issues to management.
• Adhere to company regulations and stay updated on recalls and bulletins.
