Qualifications

• Experience as Automotive Service Technician, Automotive Mechanic or Collision Center Technician preferred.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing automotive mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of suspension, steering, brakes, and alignment procedures.
• Experience with electrical/electronic automotive systems.

Responsibilities

Automotive Service Technician Responsibilities

As an Automotive Service Technician at Diehl Collision of Pittsburgh, you will perform mechanical diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on vehicles undergoing collision repair.

Responsibilities include:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues related to automotive collision damage.
• Perform suspension, steering, and brake system repairs.
• Inspect and repair damaged mechanical components.
• Perform wheel alignments and suspension adjustments as needed.
• Diagnose electrical and electronic system issues.
• Remove and replace damaged mechanical components.
• Perform vehicle inspections to identify additional repair needs.
• Complete engine, transmission, and drivetrain repairs when required.
• Perform automotive maintenance and general mechanical repairs.
• Diagnose and repair warning lights and vehicle fault codes.
• Assist with ADAS-related repairs and calibration coordination as needed.
• Follow OEM repair procedures and manufacturer specifications.
• Perform post-repair inspections and road tests to verify vehicle safety and proper operation.
• Communicate repair recommendations and findings to collision estimators and management.
• Maintain accurate repair documentation.
• Work closely with collision technicians, painters, estimators, and parts personnel.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced automotive professional with strong diagnostic skills, mechanical knowledge, and a commitment to quality repairs.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Previous experience as an Automotive Service Technician, Automotive Mechanic, or Collision Center Mechanical Technician.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing automotive mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of suspension, steering, brakes, and vehicle alignment procedures.
• Experience with automotive electrical and electronic systems.
• Ability to use automotive diagnostic equipment and scan tools.
• Familiarity with collision-related mechanical repairs.
• Ability to read and follow manufacturer repair procedures.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

ASE certifications, I-CAR training, and manufacturer-specific automotive certifications are a plus.

Candidates with experience as an Automotive Service Technician, Automotive Mechanic, Master Technician, Collision Repair Technician, Suspension Technician, Alignment Technician, Automotive Diagnostic Technician, or Mechanical Repair Technician are encouraged to apply.
