Lancaster Hyundai is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance per dealer and factory standards. You will diagnose issues, order parts, and document all work while road testing as needed.

The position requires at least 3 years of experience, a PA inspection/emission license, and the ability to work as part of a team. Candidates must own their own tools and pass standard pre-employment checks.

Responsabilidades

• Performs repair and maintenance work per repair order in line with dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnoses cause of malfunctions and performs repairs.
• Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Saves and tags parts for warranty or customer requests.
• Examines vehicle to determine further safety or service work.
• Informs service advisors of additional work or if repairs cannot be completed on time.
• Documents all work performed on the repair order.
• Road tests vehicles when required.
• Keeps shop area neat and clean.
• Participates in manufacturer training programs and stays updated with bulletins.

The Automotive Service Technician is responsible for performing assigned vehicle repair and maintenance work with efficiency and accuracy while in accordance with dealership and factory standards.

Job Duties Include:

• Performs works as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and perform repairs.
• Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
• Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
• Communicates with service advisors immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
• Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• Road tests vehicles when required.
• Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools and events.
• Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
• Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
• Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean. Notifies service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
• Keep shop area neat and clean
• Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years' experience
• Must have Pennsylvania inspection/emission license
• Must have own tools
• Must be a team player and able to maintain a positive working attitude and environment
• ASE certification preferred, but not required
• Knowledge of the English language, spelling, grammar, punctuation and numbering systems
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one to customers, clients, and other employees
• Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft software products
• Knowledge of basic math
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, motor vehicle and background check

Hours: Monday through Friday 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM with some evenings and some Saturdays
