Job summary

LaFontaine Automotive Group in Michigan is seeking an Automotive Service Porter to maintain a clean, organized service vehicle area and assist with shop duties. You will greet customers politely, move vehicles as directed, and help keep the service department orderly.

Ideal candidates have a valid driver’s license, the ability to work independently or with a team, and a strong work ethic. This full-time role offers a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive, community-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Current, valid driver’s license; satisfactory MVR.
• Ability to complete tasks on your own as well as with a team.
• Good work ethic, organized, and positive attitude are a must.

Responsibilities

• Keep the service vehicle lot neat and orderly, moving cars as directed by management and in accordance with facility display standards.
• Cleaning the service department drive, write up area and shop.
• Keep service vehicles clean as directed by management.
• Clean interior and exterior of vehicles, including the trunks and glove compartments.
• Wash service customer vehicles using cleaning solution, water, cloths, and brushes.
• Clean engine to remove grease and other materials.
• Assist technicians with keeping the service department clean and organized.
• Greet customers immediately in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Park vehicles from service.
• Wear company approved uniform.
• Follow policies and procedures as set forth in the Employee Handbook.
