Job summary

Roush Auto Group in Westerville, Ohio is seeking an entry level Automotive Service Porter to help the service drive and shop operate efficiently. You will greet customers, assist advisors, keep areas clean, and help manage the inventory of rental vehicles.

The role offers a full-time schedule with Sundays off benefit package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, 401k, and paid time off. Training provided and room for growth within the dealership.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Physically able to perform assigned tasks including driving, standing for extended periods, frequently walking.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with fewer than 4 points and no history of reckless driving.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a warm welcome when they arrive at the service drive.
• Valet vehicles from service drive to a designated parking area and communicate with teammates.
• Perform tire pressure checks, battery tests, fluid checks, replace wiper inserts and bulbs.
• Keep service drive and shop clean and organized; wash customer and company-owned vehicles.
• Assist with pickup/drop-off of customer vehicles and inventory transfers.
• Support parts inventory purchases and deep-clean projects with the maintenance team.

Description

The entry level Service Porter helps improve efficiency in the service drive and in the service shop by providing support to the advisors and the management team along with organizing and cleaning the dealership. The position involves warmly greeting customers upon arrival, valeting customer vehicles from the service drive to a designated parking area, completing minor mechanical repair diagnostics, and organizing our inventory of company – owned rental vehicles.

Core Responsibilities

• Greeting customers with a “warm” greeting when they arrive in the service drive
• Providing each vehicle with protective floor and seat covering
• Communicating with Roush teammates and valeting the vehicle to a designated parking area
• Complete tire pressure checks, battery tests, check / fill fluids (when needed), replace windshield wiper inserts, and replace light bulbs
• Complete routine cleaning in the service drive and the service shop
• Complete car washes on customer and company – owned vehicles
• Complete Pick – up / drop – off customer vehicles, as needed
• Complete parts inventory purchases at local dealerships
• Transfer inventory
• Participate in deep clean projects with our maintenance team

Automotive Service Porter Requirements:

• Work Monday - Thursday2p-10p and alternating Friday & Saturday 8a-6p.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Physically able to perform assigned tasks including driving, standing for extended periods, frequently walking, working in inclement weather conditions
• Must have a valid driver’s license with less than 4 points and no history of reckless driving. (Preferably 18 years of age)
• Consent to a background check and drug screening
