Job summary

Minot Chrysler Center is seeking a Service Porter to support vehicle maintenance and customer service operations. The role involves assisting with service write-ups, tagging vehicles, and ensuring vehicles are prepared for pickup with attention to detail and safety.

The position requires the ability to follow simple instructions, basic math skills, and a valid driver’s license. Full-time hours are 7:00am–5:30pm, Monday–Friday, with opportunities to assist in parts and shop activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Effective oral communication skills.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Ability to understand and carry out simple one or two step instructions.
• Must be at least 18 years of age; valid driver’s license; will be required to drive company or customer vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Assist with service write-ups and tagging customer vehicles.
• Remove vehicle protective coverings and ID tags prior to returning completed vehicle to customer.
• Inspect the vehicle for stains, debris, and damages before returning the vehicle to the customer, report any damages immediately.
• Transport customers and dealership personnel as needed in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Perform deliveries as required.
• Keep customer/employee parking area neat and orderly moving used units as directed and in accordance with dealership display standards.
• Return vehicle keys to the cashier's office.
• Assist parts department in delivery of parts to wholesale customers and delivery of parts from parts counter to appropriate technicians as instructed by parts counter person.
• Test batteries of customer vehicles in service drive.
• Maintain building and grounds as needed.
• Assist with shop clean-up and deliveries when needed. Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company's Vision, Mission, and Values in all interactions with customers,coworkers, and suppliers.
• Adheres to all Dealership policies, procedures and Safety standards.
• Assist service with charging/maintaining batteries on the lot.
• Other duties as assigned
