Job summary

Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) seeks a Senior Automotive Technician in Jackson, MS to diagnose drivability and electrical systems and lead a small team toward high customer care. You will mentor teammates and stay current with evolving auto technologies.

The role offers a flat-rate pay model and benefits, with opportunities to obtain ASE certifications and advance in a nationwide service network.

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid driver's license at all times.
  • Experience in brakes and hydraulics and/or steering & suspension.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
  • Reading, writing and math skills.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair to specifications – brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
  • Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-technical individuals.
  • Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
  • Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
  • Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least three of A1 – A8 within first two years of employment.

All employees receive pay that meets or exceeds the applicable minimum wage requirements.**\_\_\_# **Responsibilities*** Diagnose and repair to specifications - brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.* Adequately explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.* Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous *paid* formal training.* Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.* Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least three of A1 – A8 within first two years of employment (Tests and registrations fees are paid for by company pass or fail.
