Job summary

Sheehy Auto Stores in Ashland, VA is seeking a dependable Full-Time Sales Lot Attendant/Porter at Sheehy Ford of Ashland. You will move vehicles around the dealership, support Sales Managers, and ensure deliveries and customer satisfaction while learning the automotive business.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work flexible schedules including nights, days, weekends and holidays.
• Dependable with reliable transportation to and from work every day.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Positive attitude with strong customer service focus and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Move inventory vehicles around the dealership and assist Sales Managers as needed.
• Ensure vehicles are clean and presentable for delivery to customers.
• Prepare vehicles for delivery with buyer guides and stock tags as required.
• Drive vehicles to parking lot, display, and delivery areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of driveways and walkways; remove debris, ice, and snow.
• Create key tags and manage vehicle inventory; ensure keys are secure.
• Return keys to proper location and lock cars after use.
• Follow company policies; inform supervisor of any issues.
• Engage with management and customers to foster satisfaction and referrals.
• Communicate concerns to management promptly.

Sheehy Ford of Ashland is seeking a Dependable and Committed (Full-Time) Sales Lot Attendant/Porter to join our team. We are looking for people that have some experience, but not necessary. If you believe in integrity and customer satisfaction and are ready and willing to learn, we will teach you the skills to have a fulfilling and successful career in the automotive business.As the Lot Porter, you will be focused on moving vehicles around the dealership as needed and helping the Sales Managers as requested. As part of this role, you must able to work as a team and coordinate with fellow employees to ensure timely deliveries and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities

• Make sure all inventory vehicles are clean and presentable to the public
• Before the final sale, ensure the car is ready for delivery
• Ensures that buyer guides and stock tags are placed in cars per Company and Government guidelines
• Drive vehicles to and from the parking lot, vehicle display and customer delivery area, as needed
• Cleans driveway and walkways, removing debris, ice, and snow as necessary
• Make key tags for and handle inventory of vehicles
• Ensures that all vehicle keys are returned to the appropriate location; ensures that all cars in the lot(s) are locked, with the windows rolled up, and keys securely stored
• Follows all company policies and procedures. Informs supervisor of any illegal activity
• Consistently remains engaged with management, team leads, fellow team members, and processes to foster successful working relationships with all internal and external customers; consistently maintains follow-up systems that encourage repeat and referral business and contribute to customer satisfaction
• Immediately communicates with management whenever a concern or situation arises

Requirements

• Positive attitude, dependable, with can-do mentality, confident, outgoing personality, commitment and eagerness to improve

• Authorized to work in the USA with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Must have the ability to pass a pre-employment background screening, Motor Vehicle Records check, and drug test.
• Able to drive a manual (stick shift) vehicle -preferred
