Job summary

Napleton Auto Park of Urbana is seeking a Sales Consultant to join our growing team in Urbana, IL. You will assist customers, follow up to build relationships, and explain vehicle features and options to meet their needs.

The role offers a generous potential pay range of $60,000-$150,000 per year, including incentive-based pay, plus paid training and a clear path to management roles within a family-owned, long-standing automotive group.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Sales or Customer Service experience.
• Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Excellent customer service, organizational and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated, goal oriented and enthusiastic in a team environment.
• Prior proven customer-service or retail sales experience.
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers entering the dealership and help them select a vehicle.
• Provide timely follow up and maintain relationships with customers.
• Explain product performance and benefits and describe available equipment.
• Deliver vehicles to customers and ensure understanding of features, warranty, and paperwork.
• Stay informed about inventory, features, accessories, and how they benefit customers.
• Introduce customers to service department personnel and emphasize quality service.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assisting customers who enter the dealership, answering their questions and helping them select a vehicle that is right for their needs
• Provide timely follow up and maintain strong relationships with customers
• Explaining product performance, application and benefits to prospects and describing all optional equipment available for customer purchase. Determine each customer’s vehicle needs by asking questions and listening
• Deliver vehicles to customers. The delivery process ensures that the customer understands the vehicle’s operating features, warranty, and paperwork, and it lays the foundation for customer loyalty
• Keep abreast of incoming inventory, features, accessories, etc., and how they benefit customers
• Introduce customers to service department personnel to emphasize to them the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available in the dealership’s service department.
• Other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements:

• 2+ years of Sales or Customer Service Experience
• Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Excellent customer service, organizational and negotiation skills
• Self-motivated, goal orientated and enthusiastic presence in a team environment
• Prior proven customer-service or retail sales experience
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen in accordance with local
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
