Job summary

AAA Club Alliance is seeking an Automotive Repair Technician A in Harrison, OH. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, with a focus on safe, reliable outcomes for customers.

You will perform advanced diagnostics across engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, electrical, and climate control, while maintaining high standards and mentoring junior technicians. The position is full-time and includes paid training and certification support.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of automotive technician experience with advanced diagnostics.
• ASE Master Technician certification preferred; or equivalent experience with ability to certify within 12 months (paid for by AAA).
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Strong communication skills for mentoring and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics and repair work across engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Maintain high technical standards and expand skills continuously.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Ensure repairs follow manufacturer procedures and industry best practices.
• Mentor and train other technicians and service staff.

What We Offer

• The base compensation for this position is $26.30 - $36.92/hr flat rate. Actual pay will be based on factors such as applicant experience and geographic location.
• Billable Hours Guarantee: 30-hour minimum per week.
• Productivity Bonus: Opportunity to earn a $250 - $550 bonus every two weeks, based on productivity and performance.
• Schedule: Full-time, 5 days per week. Team members are required to work Saturdays as part of their regular schedule. The workweek includes one scheduled day off during the week and Sundays off. Additional schedule adjustments may be made based on business needs and approved time off.
• Training & Certification Support: We pay for your ASE certifications and recertifications!

Your Impact As An Automotive Repair Technician A

• Perform advanced diagnostics and repair work, including Engine Repair, Transmission Repair, Suspension & Steering, Brake Systems (including ABS/traction control), Electrical Systems, and Heating & Air Conditioning.
• Maintain a high level of technical expertise and continuously expand your skills.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer procedures or industry best practices.
• Train and mentor other technicians and service associates.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring

• At least 6 years of experience as an Automotive Technician with advanced diagnostic skills.
• ASE Master Technician or Dealership certifications preferred (or equivalent experience with ability to certify within 12 months – paid for by AAA).
• ASE L1 (Advanced Engine Performance) certification preferred.
• Strong communication skills for mentoring and collaborating with the team.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Authorized to work in the USA.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings if offered a position (background, drug, fitness for duty).
