Job summary

GACC Midwest is assisting an established automotive manufacturer in recruiting a Quality Manager for its U.S. operation. The role oversees the site’s Quality Management System and drives IATF 16949 readiness while aligning with ISO 9001 standards.

You will partner with U.S. and German leadership to embed Core Tools and prepare for customer audits. The successful candidate will have hands-on automotive quality experience, lead cross-functional teams, and own quality processes as the business

Qualifications

Several years of progressive automotive quality experience.
Strong IATF 16949 knowledge and audit experience.
Hands-on Automotive Core Tools experience (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and Control Plans).
ISO 9001 knowledge is desirable.
Ability to work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing and other teams.

Responsibilities

Lead and continuously improve the site’s QMS.
Prepare the U.S. operation for IATF 16949 certification while maintaining ISO 9001.
Develop and maintain quality documentation, procedures, and control plans.
Coordinate customer audits and support automotive customer visits.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Train and coach employees on quality systems and documentation.
Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
