Job summary

Linamar Corporation is seeking a Quality Engineering Technician in North Carolina to support quality projects from inception through testing. You will collaborate with Quality and Process Engineering teams to ensure standards are met and guide APQP activities.

The role emphasizes implementing 8D corrective actions, 5S, and continuous improvement within a high-volume machine shop environment. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Applied Science degree or equivalent expertise.
• CQT certification preferred.
• Experience in automotive quality assurance is required.
• 3+ years in a high-volume machine shop quality inspection/programming.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 requirements and AIAG core tools.
• Proficient with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators).

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with regulatory and IATF standards (OHSAS/ISO/IATF).
• Promote Linamar Values and Leadership Behaviors.
• Manage performance indicators aligned with quality strategy.
• Support lean initiatives per LPS requirements and 5S standards.
• Develop instructions for capability studies and APQP activities.
• Lead corrective actions (8D) and drive improvements.
