Job summary

Soap Creek Resources is seeking a Quality Engineer to support quality functions and audit design documentation for compliance with requirements. The role will involve working with AIAG tools, PPAP status, and customer quality systems in an automotive manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree is required.
Recent experience in Automotive Industry.
Knowledge of IATF 16949 Quality Systems.
Experience with the APQP system.
Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
Experience in Lean Manufacturing Techniques.
Proven technical skills on product and process.

Responsibilities

Utilise core AIAG quality tools (Control Plan, PFMEA, PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC) to resolve quality concerns.
Manage internal and external quality concerns, Fast Track Response, and pareto analysis of defects.
Act as customer support and investigate customer complaints.
Assist with continuous improvement activities, such as SPC and capability studies.
Assist with IATF 16949 activities.
Manage/interface customer quality system.
Address supplier quality issues and manage Quality hold area.
Create and maintain PPAP status with all Customers.
Review and decide disposition of products placed on hold.
Organize necessary rework/sorting operations.
Assist with resolving internal and external quality problems and corrective actions.
Create, review, and update job books to ensure proper documentation.
