Job summary

SMP Automotive Systems Alabama Inc. is looking for a Project Controller to support financial success from quotation through production. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Finance or related fields and at least 3 years of finance-related experience, preferably in the automotive industry.

This role includes leading financial oversight on assigned programs, developing budgets, and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project profitability. Benefits include competitive compensation, medical insurance, and 120 hours of PTO annually.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Finance, Controlling, Cost Accounting, or Project Controlling.
• Manufacturing experience required; automotive industry experience preferred.
• Experience supporting product launches, capital investments, or project management activities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial oversight of assigned programs from RFQ through end-of-production.
• Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and profitability analyses.
• Perform detailed cost, margin, and variance analyses.
• Support sourcing decisions through financial analysis and supplier comparisons.
