MAHLE GmbH is seeking a Project Buyer to manage purchasing requirements across the project lifecycle, meeting cost targets and coordinating with the development team. The role involves RFQ preparation, supplier evaluation, and cross-functional collaboration across MAHLE facilities worldwide.

You will lead sourcing decisions with regional and global buyers, ensure milestones are met, and communicate risks and project status to management, while leveraging best landed costs.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Japanese is an advantage.
• Hands on experience using Excel is a must.
• 2+ years of experience within negotiation and project management is a must.
• Detailed knowledge of markets of the electronic commodity is preferred.
• Understanding and use of cost drivers and market dynamics in the electronic commodity is a must.
• Can communicate effectively on technical topics and can understand technical drawings is a must.
• Tier 1 Automotive industry experience preferable but not required.

Responsabilités

• Prepare RFQ, evaluate quotations to meet commercial, technical and quality objectives.
• Evaluate component costing based on program BOM timing during acquisition.
• Schedule technical component reviews.
• Lead sourcing decisions with regional/global buyers to leverage landed costs.
• Ensure purchased components meet program milestones and coordinate progress with development team.
• Communicate supplier risks to project team and present status updates to management.
