Job summary

Berman-Auto-Group in Chicago, IL is seeking a Porter Manager to lead, train, hire and supervise our porter staff, ensuring top-quality vehicle presentation and customer-ready readiness for every service lane and lot display.

Responsibilities include maintaining vehicle appearance, stocking inventory, moving cars as directed, keeping the lot neat and compliant with display standards, and coordinating with service and sales teams to optimize workflow.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and customer-service focused approach.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass a background screening.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, hire, and supervise porter staff to ensure seamless duties.
• Maintain inventory appearance by cleaning interior and exterior and replenishing fluids.
• Stock both new and pre-owned vehicles and keep lots neat and orderly.
• Move vehicles to service lanes, stalls, and parking areas as directed by management.
• Create key tags and manage vehicle inventory with careful record-keeping.
• Retrieve and deliver vehicles from various property locations as needed.

Job Title: Porter Manager

Schedule: Full Time

Pay: $55,000-$77,000 annually (Salary + Commission)

Must have prior Porter Manager Experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage (lead, train, hire, and oversee) our porter staff making certain the following duties are performed seamlessly.
• Maintain inventory appearance and performance by cleaning interior and exterior of vehicles, replenishing all vehicle fluids as needed, and replacing batteries when necessary.
• Stock in both new and pre driven vehicles
• Keep lots neat and orderly, moving cars as directed by management staff and in accordance with dealership display standards.
• Drive vehicles to and from service lane, service stalls, and parking lot as needed.
• Make key tags for and handle inventory of vehicles.
• Retrieve and deliver vehicles from property locations.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record
