Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Porter to maintain the cleanliness of customer vehicles and the shop, including pre-wash before repairs and post-repair detailing.

You will assist with daily housekeeping, transport vehicles to sublet locations, and help keep parking lots neat while supporting a team-driven work environment.

High school diploma or GED preferred, valid driver’s license, ability to multitask, and automotive experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including garbage, floors, and countertops.
• Maintain daily housekeeping of the production area, waste disposal, and tool storage.
• Keep parking lots and grounds neat, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary.
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete.
• Transport customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.

Job Description

The Porter complements quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles prior to vehicle delivery. Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of shop and office facilities.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including daily emptying of garbage cans, cleaning the floors, and dusting the countertops and work area.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, emptying of waste cans, sweeping the floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete
• Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs

Education And/or Experience Required

• High School diploma / GED preferred
• Ability to multitask
• Automotive experience preferred
• Clear close vision required
• 18 years or age or older
• Valid Driver's license
• Strong attention to detail

Compensation Details

HOURLY

$16 - 19 / Hour

Supplemental Pay

Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience.

This position may also be eligible for Bonus opportunities tied to individual or business initiatives.
