Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Program Manager for automotive plastics and lighting with 3–5 years in Tier 1 environments. You will lead cross-functional teams from sourcing to plant launch, manage budgets, and maintain strong customer relationships across the program lifecycle.

The role requires strong knowledge of injection molding, plastics manufacturing, and experience with exterior lighting/electronics. Hybrid work in Plymouth, MI is offered with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years as a Program Manager in automotive Tier 1 high-volume manufacturing.
• Specialize in automotive plastics or lighting, mid to large plastic components.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Experience maintaining program budgets and financial reporting for projects.
• Experience with resource planning and reporting for engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Own programs and drive cross-functional teams using internal processes.
• Outline program timing and support new business opportunities with cost targets.
• Present weekly metrics on programs and customer strategies.
• Coordinate resources using plans and reports to match program strategy.
• Lead cross-functional teams to meet program milestones.
• Provide data-driven insights to leadership for strategic decisions.
• Maintain and report on program budgets and financial performance.
• Plan resources to balance capacity, timing and budget constraints.
• Collaborate with customer representatives as main interface.
• Develop and improve customer relationships for future opportunities.
• Support decisive financial planning through purchasing and cost estimates.
• Support cradle-to-grave automotive programs from concept to post-launch.
