Job summary

Sora Resource Group is seeking a Plant Quality Lead in Warren, MI to oversee the Quality Engineering team and ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and customer requirements. The role drives continuous improvement, prevents defects, and improves plant quality performance.

You will collaborate with Operations and Engineering, manage audits and corrective actions, and lead a metrics-driven quality program across the manufacturing process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field.
• 5+ years quality experience in automotive manufacturing or supplier environment.
• Minimum 2–3 years of supervisory or people-management experience.
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and automotive customer requirements.
• Experience leading audits and corrective actions.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, coach, and develop the plant Quality Engineering team.
• Oversee daily quality activities and ensure processes meet customer and internal requirements.
• Maintain and improve the Quality Management System per IATF 16949 and customer specifics.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions to prevent issues.
• Oversee APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and MSA activities.
• Lead internal, external, and customer audits.
• Partner with Operations and Engineering to drive process improvements and reduce defects.
